Greatest Needs
Donations received by the Bow Island & District Health Foundation that have not been specifically designated by the donor for a particular project are placed into a general fund. This fund serves as a flexible resource to address a wide range of needs within the health services and facilities supported by the Foundation. By pooling donations in this way, the Foundation ensures that funds are available to respond to urgent or unforeseen healthcare needs, as well as to support long-term initiatives that benefit the community.
Expenditures from this fund are carefully considered and approved at the discretion of the Foundation Trustees. As eligible requests for funding are received from various departments, projects, or initiatives within the health services, the Trustees review each request to ensure it aligns with the Foundation’s mission and priorities. This process allows the Foundation to allocate resources effectively, ensuring that funds are used where they can make the most significant impact on patient care and the overall health and well-being of the community.
