About Us
The Bow Island & District Health Foundation is a registered, charitable organization under the Regional Health Authorities Act.

In April, 1996, the Bow Island & District Health Foundation was formed to provide public accountability regarding the management of donations made to enhance health care in the communities served by Bow Island Health Centre.
The Bow Island & District Health Foundation was incorporated as a registered, charitable organization under the Regional Health Authorities Act – Foundation Relations and subsequently received a Revenue Canada Business Number (R12407513) allowing the Foundation to issue official tax receipts to donors.

The logo of the organization utilizes the colours of forest green, royal blue and gold. On one side, it depicts the people and the organizations served and the other the diversity of the landscape around the areas served – hoodoos, grain and trees under a blazing Alberta sun! All of this is encircled with the name of the organization with its purpose standing steadfastly at the bottom of the logo – “Enhancing Health Care”
This logo was designed by Leva Olstad, a valued, long-time employee of the Bow Island Health Centre, a crucial administrative influence in the health care profession and the first Chairperson of the Bow Island & District Health Foundation.
